Caring for the Aloe Vera Plant

We have known some of the helpful healing properties that the Aloe vera plant has as far back as ancient Egypt times. Both Cleopatra and Nefertiti greatly valued the nourishing juice and used it as a part of their daily skin and beauty care. Now a days we use it's gel topically for psoriasis, sunburns, dry cracked winter skin and frostbite. It can also be used to stop the itching associated with bug bites and because of its antibacterial properties it is a good deterrent to acne.
