Wuquf-e-Arafat – The Pinnacle of Hajj

⨳ In Jami' al-Tirmidhi, Hadith number 2459, it is narrated from Hazrat Shaddad bin Aws (RA) that the intelligent person is the one who holds himself accountable and works for what is after death. And the incapable and foolish person is the one who follows his desires and indulges in wishful thinking about Allah. Yet, despite all this, one must remain hopeful for Allah's grace and mercy, for His bounty and kindness are far greater than our sins.
⨳ The time for Wuquf (standing) begins at Zawal (the sun's decline from its zenith). There is ample time from Zawal until Maghrib. The shortcoming of this day can never be compensated for, so remain engaged in worship as much as possible; not a single moment should pass in negligence.
⨳ It is superior to stand facing the Qibla during this time until sunset, raising hands and continuously making supplications. If you cannot stand for the entire duration, stand for as long as you can, then sit down. When you regain strength, stand up again. Recite praises of Allah, Takbeer (Allahu Akbar), Tahleel (La ilaha illallah), and the Talbiyah repeatedly. Engage abundantly in Istighfar (seeking forgiveness), recitation of the Holy Quran, and sending Salawat (blessings upon the Prophet), because on this day, there is no way to make up for any deficiency or shortcoming in deeds. With heartfelt remorse, repent and seek forgiveness profusely for all matters contrary to the Shariah, and accompany your remembrance with abundant weeping and supplication. Shed tears there and seek forgiveness for your sins.
⨳ When you see the multitude of pilgrims in Arafat, envision the Day of Judgment, for this is its sample, and remain occupied with the concern of rectifying your religious state. In every act of worship, have firm hope for its acceptance through the grace and mercy of Allah the Almighty. Have hope in Allah's essence that since He has granted you the blessing of visiting His House in this world and given you the fortune of Wuquf-e-Arafah, He will not deprive you of His vision in the Hereafter. At every place, make Dua with the conviction that Allah the Almighty is All-Hearing and All-Accepting. He is Most Generous, and everyone should remain hopeful of His generosity. However, this hope should never be accompanied by a feeling of arrogance or pride; rather, continue to fear your sins and, due to the shortcomings in your deeds, consider yourself undeserving of acceptance.
⨳ Besides this, ask for whatever comes to your heart, for this is the day and place for the acceptance of supplications.
⨳ The Holy Prophet ﷺ said that there is no day on which Satan is seen as more humiliated, more despised, more enraged, and more despondent than on the Day of Arafah, and all this is because he sees the mercy of Allah descending abundantly and the major sins of the servants being forgiven.
⨳ I humbly request all the servants of Allah going for Hajj, upon whose sight this series "Towards the Destination of Hajj" passes, to please remember this sinful one (Ali Bhai, Mufti Syed Masood Shah Sahib, Abu Muhib Madani, Anwar Ahmed, and all the administrators of Hajj Talks who have been directly or indirectly involved in preparing each stop) in the plains of Arafat. Please make a special Dua for us to remain steadfast in faith until death, to remain connected with the struggle for Deen, and for forgiveness and Paradise after death. It would be a great favor. Perhaps, through your prayers alone, this sinful one's ship may reach the shore.
