Tame Impala - Let It Happen
I’ve been working on this song for so long, and honestly, it’s been a whole adventure. Let It Happen is officially the first song to give me blisters, and wow, what a milestone that was.
It’s also the song that finally made me realize just how hard I press on the strings. I’ve always had that habit in other parts of my life too, like holding a pencil way too tightly. But somewhere along the way with this one, I think I finally pushed myself past that tendency. I’m actually really proud of that!
This upload isn’t perfect, far from. I made several mistakes, but I didn’t need perfect. Every new song teaches me something, and here I learned slides. They’re super fun… and super tricky.
As for what’s next, maybe Borderline, maybe not. I’ll see where the mood takes me. Though I might circle back to another Lovejoy song because those are the most fun to play. But Delta Sleep’s math rock calls to me…
