Let's Play Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal (PS2/PCSX2) - Episode 13

ORIGINAL RECORD DATE: December 7th, 2025.

At this point our heroes just can't catch a break, can they? Now the Solana Galaxy, our home, is being invaded by an aggressive race called the Tyhrranoids. They're fighting a war for the newest, and so far most dangerous, antagonist known as Dr. Nefarious. This guy absolutely despises any and all things squishy. We can't allow our fleshy friends to be vaporized, or worse. So it's once again up to us and our newfound allies to save the galaxy.

This has been a bountiful experience so far. We covered the first game back at the start of November, and followed it up almost immediately with Going Commando. I said I'd take a quick break to LP a different game before getting to Up Your Arsenal, but I ended up discovering that was a lie. I was too excited to wait any longer. However, I made the decision to not start uploading any of this series until I started up on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Now that we're all set, it's time to begin progressing through our next Ratchet & Clank Let's Play. I've mentioned multiple times that Up Your Arsenal was always my favorite of the original trilogy. However it's been years since I got to play it last, so let's see how that opinion holds up. As I had a total blast completing Going Commando 100%.

This LP is planned to be no different than my initial plans for the previous two Ratchet playthroughs. I will certainly finish the game's story, collect all of the Titanium Bolts as well as the new Trophies, and mess around in challenge mode for a while. However, seeing that I completed the first and second game fully, which included collecting every weapon and upgrading them to max. As well as completing every skill point. So it's entirely possible I will do the same for Up Your Arsenal. Just know that I'll consider the LP complete if I meet the base requirements and decide to end it.

Thanks to the wonders of emulation, I'm running this via PCSX2 just like the first two games. Although with some changes things do run smoother, you will still notice frame drops here and there.

Now that we're wrapping up the trilogy, what's next for Let's Play & Ratchet in particular? Well, it's pretty clear that I'll be doing Ratchet: Deadlocked at some point, probably soon. However I'll be focused for a while on Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Once again, it's possible I'll do a different LP before getting to Deadlocked, but it all depends on my mood.

Now it's a 100% trilogy run. Trilogy means three, if you didn't know. Three LP's all tied to the same series. Isn't that something. Episodes will be

NOTE: All footage is recorded & uploaded raw in 1440p at 60fps, while running the emulator in 4:3 aspect ratio as the game's native setting. This series won't have any special intro or outro. Episodes will be around 1 hour in length, on average.
