Chitkul Himachal Pradesh | India’s last village chitkul

India’s last village is located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, just a few kilometres away from the India-Tibet border. Situated at an altitude of 11,000 feet, this village is not only the last village but also has the cleanest air in India, which is 30 times better than the air quality of Delhi. In this village you can find India’s last post office, last dhaba and even during the months of June, you get to see the cold of mostly 5.4 degrees Celsius, while at night it goes down to minus. This village is surrounded by mountains on all four sides. On one side there are rocky mountains and on the other side there are snow-covered peaks and below this gate There are dense trees planted which help in making this village the village with the cleanest air in India. The water from the glaciers flows from the peaks into the river. If you put your face in the river, your face will turn to the mouth within 10 seconds. This is India’s last village, Chitkul, nestled amidst some old Lakri houses, homestays, shops and beautiful environment.
