Regarding the setting of this carburetor, many people have misjudged it.
From our common sense it does look very much like a severe lean condition at the top end, but when you check the spark plug it is black, which means the entire powerband is rich.
Due to the existence of the internal ventilation system, when the throttle valve position is close to 1/2, there will be a large amount of air crashing into the bowl,There will be incredible atmospheric pressure inside the bowl, which means something like a fuel pressurization system,When the throttle valve position is close to the top, the engine speed will also reach the fastest, the frequency of piston operation will also reach the fastest, and the air flow rate inside the intake manifold will also reach the fastest,The more air will be pushed into the bowl, the higher the air pressure inside the bowl will be.The fuel will pour into the Venturi of the carburetor in an instant,The fuel to air ratio is out of balance and the fuel mixture cannot be ignited so you hear the wooo wooo until the engine dies.While you don't see a lot of smoke at the top, it does so because it challenges your common sense experience.
When you turn the metering rod counterclockwise, you gradually find that the engine performance is going in a good direction,We never recommend users to adjust the metering rod in a large range at one time. We recommend adjusting it every 2-3 clicks to prevent missing the sweet spot. Once you miss it, you may really expose your engine to the LEAN state.This is very dangerous!!!
