6th grade Design and Build students show off the projects THEY design and THEY built. The students used and learned the engineering design process. Their projects started out as ideas in their head which they then sketched, made cardboard prototypes of, and built final versions of. For so many of these students this was the first time they ever used any of these types of tools. The challenge was for the product to be something useful for them or someone else in their life.
This was at Kettle Moraine Middle School in Dousman, WI in Mr. Gutbrod's class.
