In this video, we go through one of the most fundamental results in homological algebra, the long exact sequence in homology. The result has many uses, in particular, it allows one to study functors which are not quite exact. The result involves looking at short exact sequences of complexes and gives a relationship between all the homologies of all the complexes involved.
