Veise VE017G installation kit (included)Step
1: Prepare Your Door
Check Compatibility: Ensure your door is 1-3/8” to 2” thick with a standard 2-1/8” borehole. The VE017G fits most single-cylinder deadbolt setups.Remove Existing Lock: Use a screwdriver to remove your old deadbolt and handle, if applicable.Inspect the Door: Verify the door and frame are aligned, with no warping or damage that could affect installation.
Step 2: Install the Deadbolt
Insert the Latch: Place the VE017G latch into the door’s edge, ensuring the “UP” marking faces upward. Secure it with the provided screws.Test the Latch: Extend and retract the deadbolt manually to confirm smooth operation. Adjust if it sticks.
Step 3: Mount the Exterior Assembly
Attach the Exterior Keypad: Feed the cable through the borehole and align the exterior assembly with the latch. Ensure the spindle engages properly.Secure with Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting plate on the interior side of the door, connecting the cable to the interior assembly.
Step 4: Install the Interior Assembly
Connect the Cable: Plug the exterior assembly’s cable into the interior assembly’s port.Secure the Interior Assembly: Use the provided screws to attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate.Install Batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries into the battery compartment. The lock will beep and flash to indicate power-up.
Step 5: Install the Strike Plate
Align the Strike Plate: Place the strike plate on the door frame, ensuring the deadbolt aligns perfectly.Secure with Screws: Fasten the strike plate to the frame with the provided screws. Test the deadbolt to ensure it locks smoothly.
Step 6: Test the Lock
Manual Test: Lock and unlock the door using the keypad and mechanical key to confirm functionality.Adjust if Needed: If the deadbolt doesn’t engage smoothly, check latch alignment or screw tightness.

Setting Up the Veise App
The Veise app is the hub for managing your VE017G smart lock. Here’s how to set it up:
Download the App:
Search for the “Veise” app on the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.Download and install the app on your smartphone.Create an Account:
Open the app and sign up with your email or phone number.Verify your account via the confirmation code sent to your device.Pair the Lock:
Ensure your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled.In the app, select “Add Device” and follow the prompts to connect to the VE017G.The lock will emit a beep and flash green when paired successfully.Configure Access:
Add Fingerprints: Follow the app’s instructions to register up to 50 fingerprints.Set Passcodes: Create permanent, timed, one-time, or recurring passcodes for different users.Share eKeys: Send digital keys to family or guests via the app, with customizable access durations.Enable Advanced Features (Optional):
Pair with the Veise Wi-Fi Gateway G2 for remote access and smart home integration.Set auto-lock timers and view access logs in real-time.Test the App:
Lock and unlock the door using the app to ensure connectivity.Test passcodes and fingerprints to confirm they work as expected.Resetting the Lock (if Needed):
Press and hold the reset button on the interior assembly for 5 seconds using the reset tool until you hear a beep and see a green light flash.Enter “123456#” on the keypad. After 3 beeps and the latch extending, the reset is complete.Tips for Success
Check Battery Life: Replace batteries every 6–12 months to avoid disruptions.

Reset: Hold reset 5 seconds, enter “123456#”.
