Launching of the Pamilya Pass 1+3

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and the First Family lead the launching of the Pamilya Pass 1+3 in the country’s three (3) rail stations as they visit the GMA-Kamuning Station of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) in Diliman, Quezon City on June 1, 2025.

The Pamilya Pass 1+3 promo offers significant fare savings for families travelling together every Sunday, traditionally a time for families to gather and spend quality time, while promoting the railway system as a safe, accessible and sustainable mode of transportation for the riding public.

One (1) paying family member gets to bring up to three (3) immediate family members for free. The immediate family members include father, mother and children; grandfather, grandmother and grandchildren; siblings; uncles/aunts or guardians with dependents.

The passenger claiming for family fare shall pay for one (1) single journey ticket (SJT) with the farthest fare and his/her companions shall be issued with magnetic SJTs that will be presented to the security guard at the service gate. A fare table specific to the promotion will be posted every Sunday only. It can be availed of multiple times a day, from the start to the end of operations on MRT-3.

President Marcos Jr. and the First Family purchase a single journey ticket at the ticketing office before boarding the train at the GMA-Kamuning Station. They interact with the MRT-3 passengers before disembarking at the North Avenue Station.

In his brief remarks, the President lauds the Pamilya Pass 1+3 for promoting and building strengthened family ties among Filipinos. He also announces the suspension of the planned rehabilitation of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) to explore a better approach to repairing the decades-old highway, including the use of new technology. He states that the government would take about a month to study alternative options and will endeavor to devise a plan to reduce the repair time from the original three (3) years to approximately six (6) months to avoid causing too much inconvenience to the public.

The Pamilya Pass 1+3 promo will be implemented by all the major rail lines (MRT-3, Light Rail Transit Line 1 [LRT-1] and LRT-2). It will run every Sunday beginning today, 1 June 2025 until the last Sunday of June 2028.
