AVOID THESE MISTAKES!
In this video, we cover setup kits. Carrier bearing size is important to make sure they fit your carrier and in the bore of the center section case. Stock and Daytona pinion supports take different bearing sizes. The Daytona support uses one larger bearing for extra strength. 5 Hole and 10 hole supports will impact the amount of hardware you need to install the support to your case. Do you need both sets of studs? Pinion spine count can very based on the type of gear you are using. Most street gears have a 28 spline pinion. Pro gears can be 28 or 35 spline depending on the ratio. Solid spacer versus crush sleeves. We like solid spacers because you can disassemble the yoke if you need to install a pinion seal. Torque it back down and you will not change the backlash, preloads or pattern. Pilot bearings, is this a stock case, iron case, or aftermarket aluminum case? These can vary occasionally depending on manufacturer.
