In this video we explore the value and purpose of the “Power Lam” in addition to the construction of the basic design that will be used in the Bamboo backed Ipe that we have been building in parts 1 & 2. The Power Lam is a design “must-have” that smooths the way to a safe and efficient composite bow. It allows you to decide where, how and to what degree your limbs start flexing toward the grip. Additionally, you can use them to “put back” wood that has previously been removed near the handle area - allowing you to use thinner stock for your belly and conserving wood, maybe even getting 2 bows instead of one plus a bunch of waste wood.
