June 18 2025 Adventure Part 1 Winter Park CO to RMNP Alpine Visitor Center

The morning of June 18, 2025, began day 5 of our 14-day motorcycle trip. We left Winter Park, CO early to reach the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park prior to 9 AM when scheduled passes were required. It was 31 degrees when we left Winter Park. We followed along the western side of Lake Granby on Hwy 34. Just prior to reaching the entrance to RMNP a moose crossed the highway in front of us. Upon entering the park, we stopped at several overlooks to enjoy the views and thenthe Alpine Visitor Center on Trail Ridge Road. The Alpine Visitor Center is located at an elevation of 11,796 ft.
This first part of the video for day 5 will stop 55 miles into the ride at the Alpine Visitor Center. So, our total mileage to this part is 1,165 miles. The remaining 131 miles for day 5 will be included in part 2.
