My Spider Plant is Not Growing Babies?

The reason why some Spider Plants don’t have babies is somewhat of an unknown. It is believed that the age of the plant may play a large role but that hasn’t been proven. One sure way to get a spider plant to send out babies is to stress the plant. When the plant gets stressed out it’s defense mechanism triggers to propagate.
The process of purposely trying to stress out your spider plant to throw babies is somewhat controversial. We all hate the idea of stressing Plante out but when we do it on purpose that’s a whole other thing. So you’re going to have to decide if you are on board with this. There has been lots of experiments to prove that stressing out your spider plant will ensure that it sends out babies though.
If you don’t plan to propagate the babies of the spider plant there’s really no reason that you need them. It’s more or less just a cosmetic addition to the plant. You will have to decide if that’s some thing you want to do to your spider plant.
