I started off first thing feeding the lazy cows who were having a long lie in. It was then onto packing all the eggs we get. I also ran the muck belts in the hen shed which run along the conveyor belts and into the trailer in the new drive-thru. Once they were finished running their cycle i turned all the motors off. This needs done every few days. I then cleaned up the packing area.
I used Swift to move the Blackface sheep into a different field, which didn't take too long.
After lunch it was onto getting the next two fields of silage. I got the grab on the forklift. We had the Fendt 828 with the Krone bailer to bale the silage up, the Fendt 718 with windrower, the McCormick with the trailer, the two Manitou's, and the old Deutz Fahr with the Mchale bale wrapper on it. I spent most of the day driving the bales from the field to where they were being wrapped and stacked. I took over with the wrapping the silage bales for a little while. The Mchale bale wrapper with the remote control is great- it means you can sit in the Forklift and just go round in circle getting new bales, starting the wrapper, stacking wrapped bales etc etc. We managed to get the two fields completely done before it got dark. I headed back home on the quad. A little footage of the pup at the end of the day
Thanks for watching!
