In 2024, the Willa Cather Foundation commissioned a new educational museum film for visitors to the National Willa Cather Center. The film provides an introduction to Willa Cather, her literature, and the community and settings that inspired many of her memorable works. Fresh narrative and updated imagery accurately reflect the Center’s collection of sites and their ongoing work to enrich lives by advancing Willa Cather’s legacy. The film was directed by Nebraska-born documentarian Ingrid Holmquist, and narrated by Emmy award-winning filmmaker (and long-time Willa Cather Foundation supporter) Ken Burns.
