Thoughts on Charlie Kirk...Realities We Must ALL Face

After my time in prayer and in the Word this morning, I wrote down some Thoughts on Charlie Kirk. These are the realities we must all face.

1. There is a holy, sovereign, eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing God. He is perfectly righteous, just, and good. His Word is upright and true.
2. This world is broken, corrupted, and in chaos.
3. This is a result of the fall. Man rebelled against God and brought with it all manor of sin, destruction, and death.
4. All men are born into sin and are in opposition to the Perfect Lord. We are enemies of the God above the heavens and we are not the good guys. We are not on the right side of this war. We deserve justice. We deserve the penalty of sin.
5. We need to be reconciled to God. We need to be forgiven and redeemed of sin. We could never merit this on our own. There is no righteousness within us and no good deed we could do to earn favor with God or make us right with Him.
6. God is His infinite wisdom, lovingkindness, mercy, grace, and steadfast love has made a way for us to be saved of our just punishment and restored to Him. It is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That God sent His Son to live the righteous, sinless life that we could not. To bear the punishment and wrath that we deserved. In our place, the weight of our sin, guilt, and shame was laid upon Him. Because He was the true Messiah, His sacrifice upon the Cross was accepted and He was resurrected in power proving that He was who He said He was.
7. All who cling to Christ as their refuge and strength and repent of their sins will have eternal peace and fellowship with God. You will be forgiven if sin and forever be reconciled to God.
8. To all who reject this truth and rebel against God will find the way of wrath. “For all who do not take refuge in God will find no refuge from Him.” “Now therefore, O kings be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth, Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him” (Psalm 2:10-13).
9. Today is the day of salvation. Turn to Christ for help. Seek His forgiveness. Submit to His Lordship. And eternally praise Him as Lord and Savior. Cling to Cross and you will forever be free of your sins, your guilt, and all your shame.
10. Christian, in times of greatest tragedy, suffering, and persecution, be encouraged for we are the only people to have true grounds to rejoice in the midst of sorrow and greatest pains.
