MAXXAIR FAN INSTALL: Ford Transit 2020 DIY van conversion - Ep 2

Have you ever put a hole in your vehicle before? Did you do it on purpose? In this video, we cut a massive hole into our roof in order to install a roof-top ventilation fan. This video is less about the exact and/or perfect method of how to install the MAXXAIR Fan onto a Ford Transit; there are many Youtube video's we can recommend if that's what you need! Instead, we hope to show that this install is possible for anyone! This project had us cut through the sheet metal of the van for the first time as well as learning and using a jig saw for the first time!!

Part installed:
Maxxair 7500K MaxxFan Smoke Lid

Tools:
-Cordless Drill
-Jigsaw with metal cutting blades
-Miter Saw
-Caulking Gun
-Measuring tape (MVP for this build!!)

Things that went well in this install:
1) We checked our measurements and are happy to report the hole was in the right place!
2) We did a few test drill holes and cuts to practice using the power tools. This really helped build our confidence!

All in all, despite how nervous we were to embark on this project, we can both report that the install was straightforward for total-beginner DIY'ers!
