Nanna is a family drama that follows the emotional distance and silent struggles between a father and son. The story begins with young Surya, a boy with a clear talent for writing and artistic interests, but whose father, Vishnuvardhan, believes only academic success and conventional careers lead to a secure future. As Surya wins recognition for his abilities, his father continues to dismiss these achievements, pushing him toward engineering and forcing him to suppress what he truly enjoys.
The story later shifts to Surya as an adult and a father himself. When his own son expresses a dream that does not fit into traditional expectations, Surya is reminded of the pressures he once faced. The script explores how unspoken fears, past disappointments, and inherited beliefs shape their decisions. It builds toward a turning point where Surya must decide whether to repeat his father’s path or break the cycle for the next generation.
