Marianna Golubenko was born in 1985, March the 4th, in Kiev (Ukraine). Her way in music was not easy and straightforward. During her childhood she learnt music during four years. Marianna externally graduated from a musical school at the age of 14. Then she continued to make music as a hobby. After her studies at a general school, she entered the National University of Сonstructure and Architecture. But the vocation of composing music never left her, and her first try in music composition dates from this period.
When Marianna was 19 years old she asked a professional advice at the National Union of Ukrainian Composers. Fortunately her first youth works and sketches have been accepted, and it determined her to continue a specialized musical formation. In 2006, at the age of 21, Marianna entered the Kiev National Music Academy « Pyotr Tchaikovsky » in the department of composition (in the class of Evgeny Stankovich). She graduated in 2011.
From 2011 till 2014 she continued her postgraduate cursus at the Academy. She also works with children and teaches them music composition.
In 2014 Marianna became the First Prize Laureate at the 3rd International Competition for Young Composers « Nikolai Myaskovsky » (held in Moscow) with the piano quintet "The Three Runes of Forgiving".
The orchestral and chamber musics of Marianna Golubenko are frequently performed in the concert academic halls of Ukraine and abroad.
