Did you know that, in 2019 - 2020 crop season, Ghana produced 850 metric tons of cocoa beans maintaining it's first position as the second largest producer of cocoa beans in the world.
Almost all the cocoa beans produced in Ghana are exported earning the country an average of 2 billion dollars foreign exchange annually.
In this interview, we talked to an agric officer to find out how to go about removing the cocoa beans from the pod and through the drying stage. We also talked to the overall national best woman farmer whose farm we visited to shares his journey as a cocoa farmer.
