SBB Railway operations on the Gotthard route between 1999 and 2001. Part 1 shows heavy freight and international passenger services between Erstfeld and Göschenen. Traction power featured includes SBB Re 4/4, Re 6/6, "Re 10/10", Re 460 and the legendary Ce 6/8 "Crocodile" 14253. This video was filmed while the Gotthard route was still the preserve of SBB haulage, and many now discontinued international services were still running - "Riviera dei Fiora", "Insubria", "Tiziano" and "Cinque Terre" are all shown here. The video concludes in the evening in Gurtnellen, with an intense number of freight and passenger services following each other up and down the Gotthard incline.
