This is a book about parenting and developing helpful children and reducing conflict in the home. The author argues that western philosophies for raising children has lost some of the magic or spice of raising children. The author goes on a long excursion to meet tribal and otherwise hunter/gather groups and see how they parent. These groups are not necessarily living in huts; some have normal jobs with kids who play video games. The author lives like them and learns to parent, and has observed multiple time-tested strategies for parenting. None of the principles are way out there and looney and many may seem like common sense, but these are time-tested principles that exist in different societies throughout the world and time. =============================================================Hi, I give book reviews on this channel to encourage me to continue reading each day.
