본 영상은 2023년 9월 12일부터 10월 26일까지 국립국악원 풍류사랑방에서 총 12회에 걸쳐 진행한 〈일이관지-조선춤방〉 실황 녹화 영상입니다.

'모든 것을 하나의 이치로 일관한다'는 뜻을 지닌 ‘일이관지(一以貫之)’는 전통 예술의 길을 고집하며 걸어온 명인들의 발자취와 숨결을 느낄 수 있는 특별한 공연입니다.

These videos are recordings of the live performance series "Iligwanji - Joseon Dance Room," held at the National Gugak Center's Pungnyu Sarangbang from September 12 to October 26, 2023, featuring a total of 12 performances.

"Iligwanji (一以貫之)," meaning "consistency through one principle," is a series of special performances that showcase the dedication of masters who have devoted their lives to traditional art.

00:14 1. 태평무 Taepyeongmu – 유정숙 Yoo Jung-sook
국가무형문화재 제92호로 지정된 태평무는 왕십리 당굿의 무속장단을 차용하여 무대 춤으로 재구성한 춤으로 왕과 왕비가 나라의 태평성대를 축원한다는 내용이 깃들어 있다.
Designated as Important Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 92, Taepyeongmu is a stage dance that reimagines the shamanistic rhythms of the Wangsimni Dangut ritual. The performance symbolizes the king and queen's prayers for peace and prosperity of the nation.

12:16 2. 교방장고춤 Gyobang Jangguchum – 경임순 Kyung Im-soon
이 춤은 정민(1928~2006)류의 장고춤으로 민요에 맞춰 손장구로 추는 춤이다. 교방장고춤은 열채의 잔가락이 없으며 고도의 공력을 요하는 춤으로 도도한 고혹미와 절제미가 특징적이다.
This dance is a Janggu Dance in the style of Jeong Min (1928–2006), performed with a hand-held janggu (traditional drum) to the rhythm of folk songs. Unlike other forms, the Gyobang Janggu Dance omits intricate stick techniques (jangarak), demanding a high level of skill and precision. Its defining features are a dignified elegance and a sense of restrained beauty, exuding refined grace and subtle allure.

19:52 3. 신로심불로 Shinrosimbullo – 김정학 Kim Jung-hak
‘身老心不老 - 몸은 늙었어도 마음은 늙지 않는다.’는 인생무상을 은유한 작품으로, 1949년 뉴욕자연사박물관에서 신무용가 조택원(1907~1976)이 초연한 작품이다. 노인의 가면을 쓰고 비스듬히 누워 있다가 힘겹게 일어나며 춤이 시작되는데 자진모리에서 젊은 날을 회상하며 흥을 내다가 넘어지면서 회한에 젖는다.
"Shinrosimbullo," meaning "The body ages, but the heart remains young," is a dance that symbolizes the fleeting nature of life. It was first performed by modern dancer Cho Taek-won (1907–1976) at the American Museum of Natural History in New York in 1949. The performance opens with the dancer, wearing an old man's mask, lying at an angle. As the character struggles to stand, the dance progresses, reminiscing about the vigor of youth during the lively Jajinmori rhythm, only to collapse once more, overcome by regret and sorrow.

30:05 4. 쇠춤 Soechum – 박은하 Park Eun-ha
쇠춤은 1992년 ‘박은하의 춤과 소리’에서 처음 선보인 작품이다. 농악 중 개인놀이에 해당하는 ‘쇠놀이’를 재해석하여 무대화하였다. 날카로우면서 화려한 꽹과리 가락에 연주자 특유의 몸짓이 감정선과 어우러지면서 예술적 풍취를 자아낸다.
Soechum made its debut in 1992 during the performance of "Park Eun-ha's Dance and Sound." This stage adaptation reimagines "Soe Nori," a solo performance from traditional Korean farmers' music (Nongak). The sharp, vibrant rhythms of the kkwaenggwari (small gong) blend seamlessly with the performer's unique movements, creating a dynamic and expressive artistic experience.

43:11 5. 살풀이춤 Salpuri – 진유림 Jin Yoo-rim
살풀이춤은 삶의 내면적 세계를 풀어내는 춤이다. ‘여백미의 극치’라는 평처럼 슬프도록 아름다운 춤사위가 끊어질 듯 반복적으로 이어져 나가는데, 시리도록 슬픈 느낌과 정제된 동작에서 나오는 정밀한 분위기가 특히 두드러진다.
Salpuri Dance is an expression of the inner journey of life. Often described as "the pinnacle of aesthetic simplicity," its sorrowful yet graceful movements unfold in a seemingly endless, repetitive flow. The dance is distinguished by its deeply melancholic tone and a precise, refined elegance that creates a powerfully poignant atmosphere.

55:35 6. 경기 고깔소고춤 Gyeonggi Gokalsogochum – 정인삼 Jung In-sam
고깔소고춤에 사용되는 소고는 악기이자 무구(巫具)인 특징을 지니고 있어, 무구로서 춤의 형식을 마련하고, 악기로서 춤의 음악과 흥을 돋운다. 경기 고깔소고춤은 전통춤의 다양한 하체동작을 모두 지니고 있으며, 마당춤으로 추었던 남성적인 역동성과 함께 수려한 곡선의 미를 볼 수 있다.
Gokalsogochum, or Gokkal Sogo Dance, features the sogo, a small drum that functions both as a musical instrument and a ritual tool. In its ritual role, it helps shape the structure of the dance, while as an instrument, it enhances the rhythm and energy of the performance. Gyeonggi Gokalsogochum incorporates a variety of traditional lower-body movements, blending the dynamic masculinity typical of outdoor performances with the graceful beauty of flowing curves.
