This interesting history of Matera explained how Matera, a town in the south of Italy in a province called Basilicata came back to life after decades of ruin and poverty.
Life in Matera at some point became unlivable and the Italian government had to declared it a National disgrace.
Matera is one of europe oldest existing town but but had it rough and almost died.
This video is inspired by Carlo Levi' book written about the Basilicata region which was once called Lucania.
