Here's the final vid for this series - the epic! Both Plini and David Maxim Micic play fantastic guitar solos on this tune. When I wrote parts for this, I wasn't entirely sure I'd be able to execute all the fast ghost notes at 2:40 - 3:10 and 3:31 - 4:01 but some quality rehearsing proved otherwise, hehe.
I utilized the same cymbal setup as "The Murmuring of Tokyo's Anthill". I boosted the room mics at 6:32, then at 6:58 boosted them further and automated the volume to slowly increase to blistering levels until the end; I also employed various effects/filters.
Notes:
1:23 - 1:38 - grooves with double bass and random ghosts occasionally underpinning the kicks
3:29 - fill-in complements guitar lick
4:02 - 4:49 - overdubbed tambourine enters, crescendoing--via volume automation--until 4:18; accented rhythms complement the groove
7:17 - 7:24 - last two bars features ride bashing in 5-16 to complement the umbrella time sig
