Full-Time Nomad Life | Cross-Country Road Trip from North Carolina to California in a Teardrop Trailer

Join us on an epic cross-country road trip as we say farewell to friends in North Carolina and head west to California—living full-time on the road as modern nomads. This travel vlog captures the reality of the digital nomad lifestyle, where you're HERE but need to be THERE, balancing freedom with constant motion.

We made a pit stop at Potters Creek Park, Texas, to swap into our teardrop trailer, and hiked the scenic Madrone Trail. Continuing west, we enjoyed a night of boondocking at Baylor Canyon Road outside Las Cruces, New Mexico—a top spot for dispersed camping enthusiasts.

Next up was an unforgettable stay at Chiricahua National Monument in the Coronado National Forest, where we hiked the stunning Echo Canyon Trail and crawled through the natural Grottoes—a must-see for outdoor lovers.

Our journey took us through Arizona for a quick overnight near KofA National Wildlife Refuge, followed by a quiet stay at KCL Campground in Carrizo Plain National Monument, a hidden gem of California.

We finally arrived at our daughter’s home in time for a festive Jamaican-style Christmas dinner and a cozy Lord of the Rings marathon, complete with a Hobbit-themed meal. We wrapped up our holiday with a peaceful hike at the San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, just off the Dumbarton Bridge.
