The weekend of 31st March - 2nd April saw the Bluebell Railway host it's annual Diesel Gala. Originally meant to consist of 2 Class 50's as well as a Class 37 and more, the revised line up saw no less than 6 diesels take to Bluebell metals over the course of the weekend; the Class 09 being a resident at the Bluebell.
Class 20 20205 failed during the gala, when one of the Traction Motors blew upon exiting Horsted Keynes for East Grinstead.
