This is a circa 1911-1913 Associated Hired Man hit and miss engine. It has a 4.0" bore x 5.0" stroke, and weighs 370 lbs. The earliest engines have more fins on the cylinder head, the end of the base nearest the flywheels are rounded instead of straight, they have a straight trip instead of the gooseneck style, flat pancake style mixer, and 2 piece water hopper. My hopper is of the later style 1 piece, so the original may have had water in it and froze which was common to these early water cooled engines.
