How To Drink Like Mark Twain! | Master Your Glass

On this episode of MYG I am making a cocktail to celebrate Mark Twain’s birthday on November 30th. The drink is the “Mark Twain Cocktail” which I found on page 158 of Dale Degroff’s The Craft of the Cocktail book - edition 2. This cocktail was inspired by a letter that Mark Twain wrote to his wife Olivia asking her to please put these ingredients in the bathroom for him to use upon his return.

Mark Twain Cocktail
1.5 oz. (45ml) Blended Scotch Whiskey
.75 oz. (22.5ml) Fresh lemonade
.75 oz. (22.5ml) Simple syrup (50:50)
2 Dashes of Angostura bitters
Shake all the ingredients and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish: Lemon peel (optional)
