Brief History of the Spanish Language

¡Hola queridos estudiantes! Welcome to the first video of this Level 1 playlist created in hopes of helping you not just survive learning Spanish but enjoy the learning process and gain confidence.

This video introduces you (in English) to a brief history of how Spanish originated, evolved, and spread throughout the world. I hope that having some background information gives you greater awareness and appreciate for Spanish as you continue to learn this widely-spoken language.

The additional videos on the A1 playlist use Spanish Comprehensible Input to expose you immediately to Spanish in a way that is comprehensible.
