While I was initially excited to see the new Starmart Express Scania K410EB SKS D3 pulling up at my departure gate, things got tense very quickly...

Starmart Express is possibly the most frequent bus operator on the popular Kuala Lumpur (KL) to Singapore route, with a bus around every hour throughout the day. Starmart Express usually operates a full fleet of Super VIP buses with a 2+1 seating configuration, in both single-deck and double-decker forms. While I had booked my ticket showing a 27-seater Super VIP single-deck bus seat map, my bus turned out to be a higher-capacity double-decker bus.
