Fantasy UFO – "Mind Body & Soul" (1991, Strictly Underground Records)

A rare piece of rave history! Few rave music videos were being made in the early ‘90s, making this a unique snapshot of the era. What makes it even more interesting for Suburban Base followers is that much of it was filmed inside Boogie Times Records—the legendary record shop and headquarters of Suburban Base.

The vocal performances were shot inside the store, with additional rave footage cut into the video. Look closely, and you’ll spot some familiar faces:

🔊 The iconic Boogie Times speaker stacks and graffiti-covered walls
🎤 Rapper Jay Groove, who was signed to Subbase offshoot Blunty Speaking Vinyl as part of Power Groove

At 2:30, you'll see Mike James, who co-produced this track with his brother Mark. Then at 2:49, keep an eye out for Rachel Wallace, Danny Donnelly, Danny Breaks (aka Sonz), and Mark Ryder, with Winston Run Tings appearing at 2:54.
