How to Fix a Frozen Nintendo Switch

After 32 days with no issues, my Nintendo Switch froze for the first time. The error occurred when I undocked the device in the Home Menu, and resumed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The JoyCon buttons, touchscreen, and Pro Controller buttons were completely unresponsive, so I did a hard reset by holding down the power button until it powered down. I let it sit for a few seconds to refresh the power cycle, and booted it up again. Sure enough, everything is in working order and the auto-save featured loaded me in the last spot I left off at. No further issues to report, but I wanted to share this as a reminder that like most electronics, the Switch can sometimes be recovered with a simple hard reset.
