Elden Ring is one the best open-world games, possibly ever, with From Software using their history with Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro to craft a massive world that is as intricate as a Dark Souls level. After playing Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, I felt like I had to give the game credit for its incredible use of open-world design in the most traditionally From Soft way.
