Another long-term signature from the winger would extend a successful set of renewals for the club. William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri have all put pen to paper with the club in recent months, demonstrating the commitment of the players to this project.
It is all credit to the structure that has evolved in the red and white half of North London, and Arteta is relaxed about the situation as he focuses on getting the most out of the players on the pitch.
“What Bukayo has admitted to me and the club is that they want to continue to be here. I think it's a very healthy and powerful relationship: the journey that he had at the club and what he's become, it's something that we want to maintain and I think that's something that is going to leave a legacy at this football club and he needs to fulfil that role which is great.
“I think it's been a very clear vision and route how we wanted to do things. I think ownership shift has been incredibly supportive and determined to make sure that um that we can continue the journey with these players and maintain the core of the team.
“And then efficiency with everybody that works upstairs starting with Andrea Berta and all the team to get things done. At the end there are always three parties and it's never an easy thing to get done.”

Jamie Carragher has revealed what might have affected Moises Caicedo in the clash with Arsenal.
During the build-up to the Chelsea against Arsenal match last week, many previews focused on the midfield battle between Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice. However, we did not see much of a clash between the pair, with Caicedo sent off in the 38th minute of the match.
Caicedo's strong challenge on Mikel Merino led to the Ecuadorian being shown a red card by Anthony Taylor after a VAR intervention. Despite being down to 10 men, Chelsea managed to take the lead through Trevoh Chalobah, but then Merino equalized to rescue a point for the Gunners.

The former Liverpool defender and now pundit, Jamie Carragher, has revealed what he thinks might have impacted Caicedo's psyche in the match. Carragher told Sky Sports, "He was really pumped up, I think we saw that right from the start of the game, I think the whole talk this week of Rice vs Caicedo maybe got to him, understandably so.
"It's a huge game, and he ends up getting himself involved in a challenge. Yes, it's a red card, but it's just daft to get involved in a tackle like that. He doesn't need to."
