On the 50th anniversary of Community Access, Program Manager Brandis Sanchez shares why she is so committed to creating special events for her tenants.
“It builds relationships. It builds trust because they see that you're consistent and you care. And that's really what this is about. Generally they've been through so much and when you go through all of these traumatic experiences, it's hard to trust people.”
“You have a right to your autonomy. You have a right to navigate this world without stigma. And that to me is absolutely imperative. And so any little thing that I could do to push the narrative in the right direction, I'm absolutely going to do that.”
