U.S. Vice President JD Vance briefly met Pope Francis on Easter Sunday following tensions over migrant deportations. The Pope, recovering from pneumonia, gave Vance chocolate eggs for his kids and Vatican gifts.

The Supreme Court temporarily blocked Venezuelan deportations from Texas under an old wartime law. The ACLU challenged the move, and the Court ordered a pause pending further review. Justices Thomas and Alito dissented.
