The First Dave Smith Evolver Video Of 2026 :)

This week i started experimenting with taking some of my older patches and saving the melody or the shape sequence, then just using that to modulate a new beat or kick drum. The original sequence i started from here, I know i showed it in a video before. Possibly just to talk about how the shape sequence can add clicks. So i turned the volume of one of the osc down but kept everything else the same. Then i went over to the other osc and made it a kick drum thing. Then i used the first one just to modulate the kick drum.


This one was made for Ring Mod. I also wanted to show how you could in theory use FM or Ring Mod but it didnt sound as good with the FM here.

Lastly, towards the end i wanted to show how using the shape sequence will add a sequence or rhythm to the Ring Mod or FM. Especially when you incorporate blank waves. At one point i fill the sequence with blank waves so the Ring Mod amount is still up but the effect is off. Then adding some steps in.

Trying to work on "performing" whatever patch it is im trying to show. This one could have been improved if i worked in something to quickly mute/unmute kick. Let me know if yall want to see more drum type of stuff or move on to something different.
(Im working on a general chords tutorial next but always open to suggestions)
