West of England Steam Engine Society Rally 2025 (WESES)

So here it is! The long-awaited video showing off the West of England Steam Engine Society Rally 2025, and what an event it was. With nearly 100 full-size steam engines represented, it was truly the best rally of the year. The weekend started with a very enjoyable road run in which around half of the road steam exhibits participated in and three full days at the show helping with "The Gladiator", I shall certainly not forget this 70th anniversary celebration in a hurry. I'll admit there isn't a whole lot of footage from Friday due to it being very hot, but I certainly made up for that from both Saturday and Sunday. I think it is safe to say that this year's event has certainly put Weses back on a wider scope within the hobby for those who live beyond the West Country. Everyone I spoke to had only praise for the show and its organisers and all said that they would gladly return in the future. Let's hope that 2025 continues the upward trajectory of the show and regains its lust like the days that it was held near St Agnes. All in all, I can't wait for what next year offers and I hope this video does the show justice.
