Franko is known for his active public position - he was the initiator of the creation of Ukrainian political parties, fought for the rights of Ukrainians in Galicia, supported the ideas of social justice. His works are characterized by a deep analysis of the human soul, social criticism and a high artistic level. Among the most famous are the poem "Moses", the story "Zakhar Berkut", the drama "Stolen Happiness".
