Traveling by bicycle is a fun and exciting form of tourism and a popular form of leisure. The Cross Island Trail is 6.5 miles long and spans east to west from Terrapin Park to the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Center. Most of the trail is paved, but there are a couple of wooden bridge sections (as well as a gravel section near the end).
Out and back this trail comes out to 13 miles.
