This song is part of a musical journey that chronicles the rise, fall, and ultimate redemption of one of the most tragic figures in the Star Wars Expanded Universe: Ulic Qel-Droma. Here, Princess Galia of Onderon sings of her love for the Beast Lord, Oron Kira.
Set thousands of years before the Skywalker Saga during the era of the Tales of the Jedi, this project blends the Wagnerian rock energy of Jim Steinman with the soaring, cinematic storytelling of modern musical theater as well as classic Disney Hero songs. From the golden days in Arca Jeth’s training grounds to the blood-stained walls of Iziz and the frozen silence of Rhen Var, follow a journey of love, betrayal, and the heavy price of the Force.
The Story
The narrative follows young Ulic’s idealistic beginnings as a Jedi Knight, his fateful encounter with the shadow-shrouded world of Onderon, and his star-crossed love for Nomi Sunrider. Haunted by the curse of Queen Amanoa and the ghost of Freedon Nadd, Ulic’s path leads him into the heart of the Dark Side—committing sins that will change the galaxy forever.
