Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band formed in Leyton, east London, in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. The band's discography has grown to thirty-seven albums, including fifteen studio albums, eleven live albums, four EPs, and seven compilations.

Pioneers of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, Iron Maiden achieved initial success during the early 1980s. After several line-up changes, the band went on to release a series of US and UK platinum and gold albums, including 1982's The Number of the Beast, 1983's Piece of Mind, 1984's Powerslave, 1985's live release Live After Death, 1986's Somewhere in Time and 1988's Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. Since the return of lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith in 1999, the band have undergone a resurgence in popularity, with their latest studio offering, The Final Frontier, peaking at No. 1 in 28 different countries and receiving widespread critical acclaim

Live at the Rainbow is the first live video recorded by Iron Maiden on 21 December 1980 and released in 1981. It includes one of the band's earliest concerts with guitarist Adrian Smith as well as a very early version of "Killers", with lyrics that differ from the album version that would be released in 1981. Paul Di'Anno later admitted writing the lyrics 5 minutes before going on stage that night

Paul Andrews (born 17 May 1958, in West Ham, London),better known as Paul Di'Anno, is an English singer best known as the first vocalist to record with the iconic band Iron Maiden, from 1978 to 1981.In his post-Maiden career, Di'Anno has issued numerous albums over the years, as both a solo artist and as a member of such bands as Gogmagog, Di'Anno's Battlezone, Praying Mantis, Killers and Rockfellas.

2024 was a difficult year all across the board in arts & entertainment. From the loss of the fitness instructor who just wanted everyone to live their best life Richard Simmons, to legendary comedian Bob newhart, everyone's favorite professor at Hogwarts Maggie Smith, to the voice of several generations James Earl Jones 2024 was a tough one. The world of heavy metal was not immune from irreplaceable losses either as on October 21, 2024 we lost Paul di'anno. The original frontman for iron maiden who performed on the bands first 2 albums & their first live album. He was one of those one of a kind people like an Ozzy or lemmy from Motorhead. Played by his own rules. After maiden he never stopped performing even after many health problems, such as battles with cancer, & even after being wheelchair bound. between 2023 & 2024 he played over 100 shows worldwide. Just heavy metal right to the end. Also of note here is the original drummer for iron maiden. The late Clive Burr. He & Paul were so important to establishing maiden as a force to be reckoned with for decades to come. One last thing. When the band learned of Paul's passing, given they are a global act, where were they you may ask? Minnesota in the city of st. Paul. Just goes to show somethings whether happy or sad are just meant to be.
