This is a cover of the song "It’s Just a Burning Memory" by The Caretaker. But I’m singing the lyrics from “Heartaches” by Al Bowlly, which is the original song that inspired The Caretaker to make this version.

This month I read “House of Leaves” and I got sooo invested in it. One of my favorite books I read this year. I was listening to The Caretaker’s music a lot while reading it. It really set the vibe haha. But I figured the more well-known background nowadays for this song would be The Backrooms!

I don’t know what you call this genre of music. Liminal space music? No clue, but it’s been my jam recently. Especially The Caretaker!! My favs other than this song are: “Libet’s Delay”, “Drifting time misplaced”, “All you are going to want to do is get back there”, and “Late afternoon drinking”. But they have soo many great songs. If you know any other artists than make this type of music please recommend it to me haha!
