Jannon Otto ‘19 was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 12. Today, the now-21-year-old leads the UC Riverside Women’s Basketball team in scoring and assists and has won the Big West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award for the second time in three months. She wants aspiring athletes with the condition to know they can do the same.
