Welcome to my stay at the InterContinental Yokohama Grand — where the building is shaped like a sail, but sadly, the rooms have sailed right past their renovation date. 🛳️💨
In this video, I check into one of Yokohama’s most iconic 5-star hotels, expecting luxury — and, well… let’s just say the lobby and views checked in, but the room checked out back in 2005. 😅
Here’s what you’ll see:
✨ A grand, spacious lobby that screams “luxury” — until you get to the room...
🛏️ My very dated and sad-looking room – the furniture could tell stories (and not happy ones)
🍽️ A surprisingly great breakfast at the restaurant – they still know how to feed you well
🍷 A club lounge that feels like the real 5-star experience – classy, comfy, and worth visiting
🏋️♂️ A gym that’s big but jam-packed with machines – like a game of Tetris, fitness edition
🏊 A decent pool if you want a dip (or just to escape the room decor)
🎡 And of course, those harbour and theme park views – absolutely stunning and the real MVPs 🌆🌊
The location in Minato Mirai is unbeatable. Views? Incredible. Staff? Lovely. Room? …well, you’ll see.
