We are driving the 2025 Mazda CX-50 non-turbo base model in Ingot blue metallic with an Ash Ochre leatherette interior which looks great.
What’s new for the 2025 Mazda CX-50? Mazda has added Amazon Alexa and improved on some driver assist technology. Non-turbo models get i-Stop for the first time, the turbo got it last year. The base model now has emergency lane keeping with head-on traffic avoidance assist, private e-call, stolen vehicle assistance, Type-C USB ports and a wireless charger. Higher trims add Mazda online navigation, a 360 see through view and front cross traffic alert. In the US, the 10.25” display screen is now standard which was already offered as standard equipment in Canada. The US also adds rear seat alert which is not available at this time in Canada.
The 2025 Mazda CX-50 base engine is a 2.5L 4-cylinder with 187 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque, standard AWD. There is a more powerful turbo with up to 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.
This trim comes standard with a 7” LCD display, 10.25” display with Mazda Connect, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, an 8-speaker audio system, wireless charger, leatherette heated front seats, a 10-way power driver seat, manual passenger seat, a heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof and a power liftgate. In the US, not all these features are standard as more trims are offered.
In Canada, the 2025 Mazda CX-50 GS-L starts at $42,940 CAD, GT $48,340 CAD, GT Turbo $50,840 CAD,
Meridian $53,890 CAD. Pricing includes freight, PDI and fees.
In the US, 2.5 S Select $30,500 USD, Preferred $31,850 USD, Premium $34,200 USD,
Premium Plus $37,700 USD, Meridian Turbo $41,000 USD, Premium Turbo $41,500 USD, Premium Plus Turbo $43,500 USD.
2025 Mazda CX-50 fuel economy, the non-turbo gets 9.7L/100km, 25 MPG and 8.0L/100 km, 31 MPG Highway.
