Burnt Lemon and Oregano chicken
It’s finally Summer here in the UK, so we are celebrating with a brand new BBQ Series! We’ve been kindly #gifted the Konnected Joe from Kamado Joe, one of my favourite ceramic eggs so in this episode I’m exploring:
⁃ All the features and tips on how to set up the Konnected Joe

Recipe for the marinade/sauce:
Ingredients:
1 Chicken - spatchcocked
3 lemons zest + juice
250ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 large handful of oregano - finely chopped
Salt + pepper
4-5 cloves of garlic - minced
Mei Mei hot honey (optional) [www.meimeigoods.com (http://www.meimeigoods.com)]
Method:
0. Spatchcock the chicken by either using kitchen shears or using a sharp knife and set aside.
0. Mix all the remaining ingredients in a bowl and then cover the chicken liberally in the marinade.
0. Grill the chicken to 68c / 154.4F (ideally reaching 73c / 163.4F)
0. Baste the chicken with any leftover marinade or hot honey.
0. Rest for a minimum of 10 minutes before serving.
