On a rainy day in January, we were the only visitors to the park. We got a private glimpse at 12,000 years of continuous human history and occupation, though you're only allowed the glimpse from the cave entrance, assuming for preservation purposes. The old asphalt hiking trail up and down the mountain above the caves was no joke; short trail but steep the entire time.
